Last week, I had a quarter-life crisis. I feel that I need to share my crisis with the blogosphere, as a venting mechanism. I was just plodding along with my regular day-to-day life (i.e. working at McDonald's and sleeping) and BOOM! I was in a crisis. It didn't half startle me. Read on...

...make you cry a lot? Turns out in my case, they need to form a band, churn out multitudes of pop songs, more specifically ballads, defy the odds and do this for fourteen years, announce they're splitting and then go on a farewell tour.

I've been neglecting this blog as of late. I do apologise. Please proceed to read after the break to see the rant of all rants and disjointed meanderings of the mind :)

Craaaazy Fangirls.

You know who I mean. They're the ones who scream at the mention of their "baby boy", wait ages outside buildings in the hope for a glimpse of them, and have usernames such as "Lusty4Justy" and "JLSBabe4eva". I don't get them. And it's not that I don't understand them - they genuinely scare me.

I am a vegetable. Or I live my life as such. But the thing is, there are things in my life that get me truly excited, and make me love life again. These are essentially dancing, and singing, or doing both together. When I look back on my life, I realise that some of my happiest times have been when I was dancing as part of a massive group/society (Durham University Dancesport Team last year for example - check out their website here), or in a massive dance performance (like Global Rock Challenge when I was at High School, more info on their site), or when I was on stage at high school, doing musicals or concert shows.

The vlog thing...

I know that's not the name of a song, but I don't have a song of the day. So here goes.


I recently discovered the phenomenon of vlogging. Well no, I knew about it. In that I have watched youtube videos where people just post random crap, a bit like what I do here except theirs are videos. For example I used to watch panacea81's make up vlogs religiously - now I just watch them if I need a particular idea for my eye make up. But, I digress...

I wanna be a billionaire, so fricking baaad. Well, I'd settle for a few thousand pounds at the mo. Hell, one thousand will do.

I'm Still Standing!

The name of my blog? Yeah it's from the A1 song. It's quite a fitting song really. The guy is waiting for the girl to change, and she says she will, but when it comes to it she's always the same, and the guys from A1 are tired of it. Well I've set out many, many, many times over the years with the intention of changing things. The amount of times I've said "I'm going to sort my life out" is excessive, because I never do.

I'm Amy Bennett, no middle name, generally substitute my childhood family nickname Doll. I'm currently 20 years old, and that is a sad fact. I am unemployed right now, and I live in Durham.

Start of Something

I've often wondered what made me who I am today - that is to say overweight, single, cowardly, bitchy, generally attention-seeking. I readily admit that at times, I am all of these things. I am also inherently lazy, and I lack any willpower or determination. No matter how much I wish to change who and what I am, I simply can't be arsed, for want of a better expression.
