So, who am I?
I'm Amy Bennett, no middle name, generally substitute my childhood family nickname Doll. I'm currently 20 years old, and that is a sad fact. I am unemployed right now, and I live in Durham.
I love reading, especially novels and Wikipedia articles. To this end I have a lot of useless knowledge, such as the world of Harry Potter and the current relationship status of Ballroom Dancer Artem Chigvintsev. That sort of stuff. I have danced since I was four, although you wouldn't think it to look at me (I'm not really the build of a dancer, and I'm also not very flexible). I've predominantly been a Ballroom and Latin dancer, but I've given most styles a go at some point, usually not for very long, and plan to dabble a bit more in the future. I quite like watching the television - although I don't really watch regular TV on a TV set (mainly because I don't have one) but I go through phases of watching various American, and British, TV programmes on the t'internet (I'm currently on Once Upon a Time, So You Think You Can Dance, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Glee and How I Met Your Mother).
I have blonde hair (currently shoulder length because I got it all chopped off last week) and greeny-grey eyes - I'm not 100% sure of their colour. I'm 5'6'' and weigh about 14 stone 9 right now (but I want to change that a lot). My favourite colour is yellow, animal is the polar bear and flower is the daffodil. I'm a Sagittarius, was born in the year of the Ram and have a tattoo on my left wrist that is the motto of Clan Scott, to which my Grandma belonged ("amo" - it means "I love..." in many languages including Latin and Scottis Gaelic).
I'm proud of being English and British, but I'm not racist. If anything I was raised to be slightly xenophobic, but I'm growing out of this as I get older and meet new people, and see more of the world.
I wear glasses to read, drive and watch the TV/Computer screen, and I'm slightly flat-footed and pigeon-toed (bad for a dancer, I know). I also have a massive issue with my teeth - they're of a yellow base colour with white splodges, a result of fluoride-deficiency treatments gone wrong as a kid and augmented by my braces as a teen, so yeah I have issues there.
I'm also a massive sports fan - I'll watch most sports, but I'm mainly a football fan (also love cricket). In my family you are raised from birth to be a devoted follower of Manchester United Football Club. We were almost led to believe that this is why we bleed red. I've often been called a glory hunter: essentially people, mainly those of the male gender, assume that because I'm a girl and don't actually live in Manchester, the only reason I'm a Red is because we've won the league 19 times, 12 of those being in my lifetime, or because I thought Ronaldo was fit or something. Some people can't get their head around the fact that a) I'm a girl who knows just as much about football as most men, or b) I was RAISED a United fan, it's in my blood. I can't help it that United have had their best years in my lifetime. But I'm getting off-topic here (as you can see, this is a touchy point).
I've left little to the imagination here. But these are my essentials. I don't necessarily want to be a different person - I imagine most of the things here will be the same in a year, two years, ten years time. I may have different hair, will hopefully weigh less, have more tattoos. I just want to be a nicer, healthier, more motivated person.
Song of the day: "Introducing Me" Nick Jonas, Camp Rock 2. You'll start to notice something - I have a massive love for cheese. I'm mainstream for the most part, but quite eclectic, and I don't have guilty pleasures - I have no guilt in liking cheese and the like :)
